Baseball Bats are not created equal.  Their are many handle styles, from thin to moderate handles. Their are no 1.18" handles until 9 Innings Baseball Bats Company opened their doors.  Why such a thick handle?  Well lets start with your hand placement. A handle that is too thin and many players like and have gotten accustomed to the thin handle because of metal bats.  Bad habits for some players once they migrated to wood bats, their hitting went South.

The J118 Series bat has a 1.18" handle- 2.50" barrel, your choice cupped or solid barrel end.  When you place your hands on the bat and grip, its solid grip, you feel like you are holding a lightweight sledge hammer.  When you make contact with the ball, the ball jets off the bat.  More later!
